WHAT WE DO FOR THE COMMUNITY
Oliver is a lawyer, but he is also an athlete, and strongly believes that grassroots sport is a way to not only improve health and wellbeing but also bring communities together. The power of sport has the potential to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for people of all abilities and ages and strengthen community cohesion.
Tyto Law Solicitors sponsor and support a variety of sports teams. The firm also helps local communities directly, for example in October 2020 Oliver paid for children in Crowle and Ealand who received free school meals, to have a hot meal during the half term break. Oliver said “One of the things I am passionate about is giving people an opportunity to reach their goals and ambitions. It makes me incredibly proud to support such wonderful sports clubs, their members and their hard-working volunteers. I strongly believe that sport in any form and at any level can help communities rallying together and build a better society.”
Tyto Law provides help in the form of a mixture of volunteering, organising, fund raising and sponsorship.
Crowle Colts Football Club.
Tyto Law is a long-time and proud supporter of the Mens Team of this community football club, sponsoring the first team match kit and training attire.
The Club said “Oliver’s support has been a big factor in our ongoing success both on and off the pitch. Tyto Law work hard with support, activities and initiatives to improve the lives of the local community. A massive thank you for the continued sponsorship”.
Scunthorpe United Community Sport & Education Trust
The remit of Scunthorpe United CSET is to use the power of football as the catalyst to enact positive change within the local community.
Tyto Law has supported the Trust in a number of ways, from enabling them to purchase a Veo camera allowing them to film training and matches, to sponsoring the scholars team and their kit.
Bobby Moore Fund/ Euro 2020
An avid sports fan, Oliver should have been going to Rome to Euro 2020 but had to cancel because of the pandemic.
So, he decided to turn a negative into a positive and wear a football shirt every day in the office throughout the tournament (for both the Euros teams, and those at the Copa America) to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund – a charity specific to bowel cancer.
Animis Racing Team
Animis Racing is a Triathlon Team run by Oliver Saxon and his mother Jacqui. Having competed in various competitions at a national level, Oliver is a qualified triathlon coach.
He welcomes members of all abilities to his team, helping them attain a healthy lifestyle and achieve their personal goals, whatever they might be. The Team also raise money for good causes by taking part in community events and charity races.
Luddington Dons Cricket Club
Luddington Cricket Club is a cricket club based in the village of Luddington in North Lincolnshire. The Dons play in division 1 of the North Lindsey League. Tyto Law is covering the costs of the club cricket shirts.
Normanby Hall Golf Club
Tyto Law sponsors the 7th Hole & (Twin Traps) at this beautiful Golf Course, considered one of the best municipal courses in the country, providing challenging play for members, green fee players and societies alike.
